• An Excellent Insulator: The bags are lined with high GSM English-boiled wool. Even in damp conditions, boiled wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water without losing any of its insulating properties.
• Protects Water Filters: Hollow fiber filters are vulnerable to freezing. Residual water inside the filter can freeze. Expanding ice can rupture the membranes letting contaminants pass through. The boiled wool lining helps prevent freezing, keeping filters safe.
• Keeps Liquids Cool: Helps keep the gathered water cooler for longer on hot hikes, preventing water from quickly warming up on the trail.
• Hand-Loops: Large, glove-friendly handles make it easy to carry and refill the bottles without removing them from the bag.
• Waxed Canvas Exterior: Made from 12oz waxed cotton and treated with Martexin Original Wax—a food-grade, non-hazardous blend that creates a highly water-resistant finish and develops a rich patina over time.
• Front Pockets: Our goal with the front pockets was to provide enough space to store all your water essentials—keeping everything in one place, such as a Millbank bag, water purification tablets, and electrolyte tablets or gels.
• Belt carrying loops: Can be clipped to your belt, worn as a side bag, secured to your pack, or hung inside your tent or around camp. Each bag includes two carabiner clips.
