• Florida crafted whisky - Von Payne Black was born in Clearwater, Florida, where it was founded by Steve Allen. In conjuring this blend, he wanted to bring a completely unique drink to the market, which represented America’s globally-renowned spirits, while embodying his life spent in fringe cultures. The result is Von Payne Black, a premium three-year blended American whisky, combined with real, natural black currant.
• Natural black currant whisky - This unique flavored whisky is infused with natural black currant, creating a 90 proof whisky that is tart and semi-sweet, with a smooth, warm finish. Plus, as black currant was actually banned from being grown in the United States until 2003, the appeal of this ‘forbidden fruit’ made us even more drawn to it.
• Distinctive, rich flavor whisky - As you can see, Von Payne Black is all about doing things differently. So, in our pairing of whisky and black currant, we created a blend that has never been seen before. Earthy berry notes are complemented by warm oaky hints, cinnamon and brown sugar. The drink is a deep ruby red, with a light to medium body, and a silky smooth texture.
